見慣れている町並み、道端をよく観察してみる。誰も目にもしない場所に沢山の生命体達がいることに気付く。それは一般的に言うとゴミと言われる種の物たちだった。

それら全て、形ある物は必ず消え、命あるものは必ず死に向かう。その最後の姿形を写真に残すことで、時を凍らせ、永遠に留めておくことにした。  

陰を見つめることは、生への尊さを見つめることと同意義であると私は考える。真っ直ぐに見つめ、その場でステージを作り太陽の光で撮影した。魂すら撮りたいと思った。やがてそれらはひとつひとつ、私の尊い宝物、Collectionとなった。

I often observe familiar townscapes and roadside. I realize that there are lots of life in places no one notices. Generally speaking it was a kind of garbage. All of them, things with form are certainly disappearing, things with life are definitely going to die. When I captured the last figure in the photograph, I decided to freeze the time and to keep it forever. I think that staring at the shade is equivalent to accepting the preciousness of life. I stared straight, and also I made a stage right then and photographed with the sunlight. I wanted to photograph even the soul. Eventually they became my precious treasures one by one as “Collection”.
